Selma bio
Selma Hissae Shimura da Nóbrega is a Civil Engineer with over a decade of experience specializing in industrial building structures for petrochemical plants. Since 1997, she has served as a Senior Full Professor and researcher at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN - Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte) in Natal, Brazil. Additionally, she is a founding member and the Development Director of the Tadao Takahashi Institute, where she engages in volunteer activities.

As the main coordinator of the International Mobility Program for undergraduate students (CAPES/BRAFITEC), Dr. Nóbrega has facilitated numerous exchanges, sending students to France through her initiatives.
Current Involvement
Dr. Nóbrega is currently a key member of the Instituto Tadao Takahashi (ITT), an NGO focused on promoting education and social assistance for children and young people, particularly those at risk. The institute aims to foster intellectual, academic, professional, economic, and social development.
In her professional capacity, Dr. Nóbrega leads the Structural Analysis practice at O2B.
